Jolly Lane Greenhouse hosts annual Chili Pepper Festival
RAPID CITY, S.D. — Jolly Lane Greenhouse is continuing a 15-year tradition with its Chili Roasting Festival.
Each year they bring in farm fresh peppers from New Mexico, to roast and sell throughout the weekend.
The chili peppers range from mild flavors like the Anaheim pepper, to more bold, Dynamite peppers.
Aside from chili peppers there were also bell and poblano peppers up for grabs. The peppers can be purchased uncooked, freshly roasted, or in a salsa.
The peppers are also bagged and put in containers to take home and eat or freeze for the season.
Aside from the peppers, visitors are welcome to enjoy food trucks, drinks, and purchase garden-fresh produce.
The festival will continue Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
